GCSAA and Rockhurst University, MO offer leadership seminars

GCSAA and the Rockhurst University Continuing Education Center have joined to offer two new seminars for GCSAA members.

National Seminars Group and Padgett-Thompson, divisions of RUCEC, based in Kansas City, Mo., will provide the seminars from its Leadership and Management Certificate Program at the GCSAA Education Conference Feb. 19-24, 2007, in Anaheim, Calif.

The seminars will provide golf course superintendents education on the leadership, management and communication skills essential to succeed in the business world.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for our members," said Shari Koehler, GCSAA director of education. "The Rockhurst University Continuing Education Center has an outstanding reputation and its National Seminars Group will provide our members with a tremendous learning opportunity at the 2007 GCSAA Education Conference."

The two offerings will be "Coaching Skills for the Golf Course Superintendent" Feb. 20 and "Leadership Skills for the Golf Course Superintendent" Feb. 21. National Seminars Group will also offer GCSAA members a 25-percent discount for all public seminars offered nationwide throughout the year and a 10-percent discount on resources (books, videos, audiocassettes and CDs) over $100.
