Cog Hill's Dubsdread course tops Golfweek's Illinois rankings

LEMONT, Ill. -- Cog Hill Golf and Country Club's Dubsdread, a Jemsek-owned golf facility and host course of PGA Tour and USGA Amateur Championships, is ranked No. 1 on Golfweek's 2013 list of "Best Courses You Can Play" in Illinois. Pine Meadow Golf Club, also a Jemsek golf facility and located in Mundelein, is ranked No. 12 on the state-by-state "Best Courses You Can Play" list.

Dubsdread is also ranked No. 21 on GOLF Magazine's Top 100 Courses You Can Play and No. 64 on Golf Digest's America's 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses.

Pine Meadow Golf Club, built in 1985 by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, has appeared on Golfweek's state-by-state list annually. The scenic and challenging par-72, 7,200 yard layout features tree-lined fairways and large undulating greens.

Golfweek's state-by-state rankings appeared in the magazine's March 7 issue and are also online at The rankings are based on Golfweek's panel of raters that evaluates courses using the following criteria: overall strength of routing, feature shaping, natural setting, greens, variety and memorability of holes, conditioning and maintenance, and landscape management.
