Reunion Resort officially opens 36 holes

REUNION, Fla. – Nov. 20, 2004 – Two of Reunion Resort & Club of Orlando's Signature golf courses will open this month: the 7,257-yard Independence, designed by Tom Watson and the 7,010-yard Legacy designed by Arnold Palmer.

All 36 holes will be available for play by members and resort guests only. Until this time, golf had been available on a composite layout featuring nine holes from each course. The third course at Reunion, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design, is scheduled to open in late 2005.

The Independence Course, the first Tom Watson design in the state of Florida, is a traditional parkland style layout bordering the Davenport Creek nature preserves. Its undulating terrain features elevation variations of as much as 45 feet from tee to green. Highlighted by fast, firm and wide rolling fairways, a variety of strategically placed bunkers and large greens, the Independence Course is as much about strategy as it is about length.

The 7,010-yard Arnold Palmer-designed Legacy Course utilizes a combination of natural rolling terrain with mature trees, pristine natural preserve areas and extensive landscaping. Rates for Reunion Resort & Club of Orlando start at $205 for a one-bedroom villa and start at $325 for a three-bedroom villa. Single family homes are available from $305 to $835 per night. A variety of special introductory offers are available and can be found on the Resort's Web site at www.reunionresort.com. For starting time reservations and additional information call 888-418-9611.

In addition to championship golf, the $2 billion, 2,300-acre resort – near Walt Disney World along the Interstate-4 corridor - will include all of the amenities of a luxury resort, such as a multi-million dollar water and swim pavilion set to open in the spring of 2005, shopping and dining in Reunion Square, a world-class spa and fitness center, tennis pavilion, entertainment center, kids camp and recreation areas. In addition, the resort will feature horse stables and more than 18 miles of walking, biking and riding trails within steps of the community's single- and multi-family homes, condominiums and town homes.
