Casa de Campo in Dominican Republic releases golf course app

LA ROMANA, Dominican Republic -- Casa de Campo's world-famous Pete Dye-designed "Teeth of the Dog" golf course - the No. 1 course in the Caribbean, according to Golf Digest - now can be experienced with a new smartphone app that allows users to virtually tour the layout with a moving aerial flyover.

Jointly released by Casa de Campo and Golf Digest/Golf World, the app also features course information, a yardage guide from all tee boxes for each of the 18 holes, tee time availability, tournament and personal scoring, and a photo gallery. In addition the app provides information about the award-winning resort in the Dominican Republic, weather, a guide outlining things to do in the area, and convenient contact information, including links to Casa de Campo's website and its Facebook and Twitter pages.

The free app is available now and can be downloaded by visiting

"Whether you've played Teeth of the Dog before or not, this app is an invaluable way to experience one of the world's top 50 golf courses," said Peter Bonell, Chief Marketing Officer, Casa de Campo. "The aerial flyover allows you to see every intricate detail - from undulations to hazards - on each hole, and will be remarkably helpful for golfers returning to tackle the 'Dog' again or for those players poised to make their first visit."

The resort boasts 90 holes designed by world-famous architect Pete Dye. In addition to Teeth of the Dog, The Links (renovated in 2012), 27 holes at Dye Fore (Lagos Nine opened in 2012) and the private, 27-hole La Romana Country Club are part of the Dye collection.

Getting to Casa de Campo has never been easier thanks to the recent opening of the Coral Highway. The all-new road puts Casa de Campo just 45 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ). That gives visitors another fast way in, along with La Romana International Airport (LRM) just five minutes away and Santo Domingo Airport (SDQ), which is one hour away. All three airports have regular service from major U.S. airlines including Jet Blue, American, United, U.S. Airways, Frontier and Delta.
