Sequoia Golf launches reciprocating PlayAway Program for members

ATLANTA -- To enhance the benefits and services available exclusively to its more than 20,000 member families nationwide, Sequoia Golf, one of the leading golf management organizations in the industry, announces the launch of its PlayAway program, a new reciprocal play service. This new feature gives Sequoia members the ability to play at more than 450 private clubs located across the country.

As an extension of the company's internal reciprocal play program, which allows members to play at all Sequoia-owned clubs and management properties, PlayAway grants access to an additional 400 courses throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada. Sequoia members now have membership benefits at leading private courses in major metropolitan areas as well as destination and resort locations such as Regatta Bay Golf & Country Club in Destin, Fla., Pauma Valley in San Diego and Eagle's Pointe in the Hilton Head area.

"Given the popularity of our internal reciprocal play option, we wanted to create a program that expanded our course offerings to cater to our members who are frequent travelers," said Joe Guerra, president and CEO of Sequoia Golf. "We're always looking for added benefits and new ways to enhance the overall Sequoia Golf experience. PlayAway is our newest service that accommodates our business and vacation-minded golfers, who want to access leading private courses while traveling, without the burden of juggling multiple membership fees."

All tee times are conveniently booked online. With reduced greens fees for guests of Sequoia members and tee times that can be confirmed within 24 to 48 hours, PlayAway offers the utmost flexibility in booking for busy travelling golfers.

"During a recent business trip, the new PlayAway program allowed me to quickly and easily book a tee time at a course half way across the country from my home club. The welcoming staff, streamlined booking process and easy club rental made me feel like a true member of the course," said Donald Livengood, member of Sequoia-owned Olde Atlanta Country Club. "I look forward to exploring many more courses through the PlayAway program in the future."
