MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- CHAMP Spikes, the number one brand on tour, added another title to its highly successful 2006 season. Already winners of 27 PGA, 15 European PGA, and 12 LPGA titles, including the 2006 PGA Grand Slam events, CHAMP picked up the Nationwide Championship over the weekend.
The Nationwide Championship title winner was sporting the distinctive black and yellow Champ Stinger™ spikes as he captured the win and at the same time, a PGA Tour card for 2007. Saving his best for last, the champion chipped in two shots, a remarkable par and birdie combination on the final two holes to capture the title. He was wearing the popular CHAMP Stinger™ which features the patented “C” wear indicator that allows golfers to see, well in advance, when it’s time to change spikes. The champion also wore the patented Q-Lok™ system receptacle that’s proven to have top cleat retention and comfort.
“The CHAMP Q-Lok™ system is becoming more popular with professionals as well as recreational golfers,” said Harris MacNeill, President of CHAMP. “Here, an up and coming golfer, wore our most popular spike with the best spike retention device we offer. With Q-Lok™ there is no more wrestling with stripped threads or stubborn spikes, there is no need to worry about spikes falling out.”
