Bracket Madness come to Golf Channel with Match Play Challenge

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Golf will get the first shot at bracket madness this month through Golf Channel’s first-ever World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship fantasy bracket game offered at Fans are being offered an opportunity to make their picks and fill out a bracket -- March Madness style -- for the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, the only match-play tournament played on the PGA TOUR calendar each year. The grand-prize winner will receive a trip for two to the 2014 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship.

Registration is free for the Golf Channel Bracket Challenge by visiting Beginning Monday, Feb. 18, fans will be able to make their predictions for the 64-player tournament bracket. Points will be accumulated based on the number of correct picks, with the user with the most points at the end of the championship winning a trip for two to the 2014 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. The top-64 fantasy players at the conclusion of the championship will win a set of Golf Channel head covers.

The 2013 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship takes place Wednesday-Sunday, Feb. 20-24 from The Golf Club at Dove Mountain near Tucson, Ariz. The field features the top-64 players available from the Official World Golf Rankings competing in a single-elimination match-play event. Golf Channel and NBC will deliver comprehensive tournament and news coverage throughout the week from Dove Mountain.

How to Play the Golf Channel Bracket Challenge:
Log on to and register for the Fantasy Challenge, Golf Channel’s weekly, online fantasy golf game. On Monday, Feb. 18, all registered players for the Fantasy Challenge – new and current players – who have opted-in to receive alerts will receive an e-mail when the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship bracket has been posted online. Fantasy players must make their picks before prior to the start of tournament play on Wednesday, Feb. 20. The Golf Channel Bracket Challenge will replace the traditional Fantasy Challenge the week of the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship.

Grand Prize: Trip for two to the 2014 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship.
Top-64 Prizes: A set of Golf Channel head covers (driver, fairway wood and a hybrid).
