ITASCA, Ill. -- The Excel Golf Tee Company, manufacturer of the “Winningest” high performance golf tee with 21 professional tour victories and over some 155 Top-10 PGA Tour finishes, announced today that two prominent PGA Tour Professionals used a Zero Friction Golf Tee to wrap up the season with a Top-10 finish at the Tour Championship.
The Tour Championship presented by Coca Cola with its smaller playing field permitted one Zero Friction Golf Tee user to not only finish with a Top-10 finish but earned a British Open exemption.
“We celebrate every Zero Friction Top-10 finish but these two are special. One PGA Professional claims the last berth at next year’s British Open and the other Professional ends this season leading the Tour in Top-10 finishes,” says Mike Herron, Business Development Manager for Excel Golf Tees, Inc.
The Zero Friction Golf Tee with its unique three-pronged design significantly reduces the contact area between the golf ball and the tee. At impact, this small degree of contact reduction or resistance results in increased accuracy and distance. In an independent laboratory Zero Friction Golf Tees were proven to be the longest and most accurate tees used on Tour. In fact, they are the “official” tee of the Long Drive of America Association.
For bigger driver heads and longer distance, a new, longer, 3-¼” ZF tee model is now available and not only for the Professionals but for every golfer. And for the traditionalists, a new ZF Hardwood has begun shipping into the marketplace.
Zero Friction Golf Tees have been put into play to secure 21 professional tour victories. Ten victories came from the PGA Tour, three from the Nationwide Tour, one from the LPGA Tour, and eight from the LPGA of Japan.
Zero Friction Golf Tees are not only popular on the PGA, LPGA, and Nationwide Tours, but they are incredibly popular on the LDA Tour, so popular the company renewed their sponsorship with the Long Driver of America Association. Both the biodegradable and hardwood Zero Friction Golf Tees will be known as the Exclusive Golf Tee of the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship. The company also signed another year contract with long-driving legend Sean
