Troon selected to manage The Club at Cordillera in Colorado

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Troon, the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce it has been selected to manage The Club at Cordillera, one of the largest exclusive golf communities in North America. The Club at Cordillera covers 12 square miles in the heart of Colorado's Vail Valley, 120 miles west of Denver.

The team in place at Cordillera will report to chief executive officer Dan Fitchett, while managing all aspects of the club's operations and directing its commitment to create a vibrant, sustainable club for property owners and the surrounding community.

"Together with Troon, we've been working diligently with Dennis Hillier of Greenberg Traurig, the nation's preeminent counsel on membership programs, in order to prepare for the relaunch of The Club at Cordillera," said Fitchett. "It's time to come together, move forward and rebuild The Club at Cordillera into a place that provides exemplary service, impeccable amenities, and support for the community's property values. This is my commitment to our members, and we've put the right people and structure in place to make that happen."

Past members and Cordillera property owners will be notified of an exclusive opportunity to rejoin the club, through an offering that goes above and beyond what was stipulated in the settlement process that arose from Wind Rose Properties, LLC's purchase of the property on Dec. 28, 2012.

"The Club at Cordillera is truly an exceptional facility that fits perfectly with the capabilities of Troon Privé, the division we created specifically to serve private clubs of this quality and magnitude," stated Dana Garmany, Troon's chairman and chief executive officer. "We are honored to have been selected to manage and market what is arguably one of the premier mountain golf club communities in America, and we fully expect that The Club at Cordillera will become one of the flagship properties in our private club collection."

The Club at Cordillera is now part of the Troon Privé portfolio, a collection of distinguished private clubs in locations around the globe. Upon joining as a full golf member, Cordillera members will gain immediate access to more than 30 world-class private clubs through the Troon Privé Privilege program, as well as the Troon Advantage program, which provides preferred rates at more than 85 of Troon's daily-fee and resort properties all over the globe.
