SALEM, N.H. -- Sonocaddie, maker of the easiest and most advanced personal golf GPS available, announces that a patent related lawsuit between GPS Industries LLC and Sonocaddie's US distributor Dennco, Inc. of Salem, NH has been resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties.
Under the terms of the confidential agreement GPSi has granted Dennco, Inc. a limited field of use license to various GPSi patents for mobile, handheld GPS rangefinder devices and products.
"The dispute between Dennco and GPSi had threatened to disrupt US retailers' ability to sell certain Sonocaddie products." said Jim Dennesen of Dennco, Inc., Sonocaddie's North American distributor. "We acted quickly to resolve the dispute and, as a result, our retail partners are free to sell any Sonocaddie products, anywhere."
Dennesen also noted: "Sonocaddie has introduced many innovations in Golf GPS, and will continue to combine the best features available into extremely affordable and user-friendly GPS products".
Sonocaddie GPS models come preloaded with over 16,000 US Courses and provide a classic 'yardage book' view of every fairway and green showing yardages and position of all critical hazards and features. They also feature full color course layouts and satellite imagery.
News of the settlement allowed Dennco retailers to restore placement for Holiday 2012 and have already resumed vigorous sales. A full retail presence is expected by Spring 2013, when Sonocaddie is expected to unveil some exciting new additions to it's line of products for golf and other sports.
