Chris Thomas named Head Golf Professional at Connecticut's Lake of Isles

NORTH STONINGTON, Conn. -- Lake of Isles announced that Chris Thomas has been named Head Golf Professional of the North and South Courses.

"We are very pleased to have Chris join the Lake of Isles team," said Archie Cart, general manager, Lake of Isles. "He has worked in Troon Golf managed facilities for the past five years and understands the importance of providing our guests with an exception experience. In addition, his strong managerial skills combined with his knowledge of the golf business will be strong assets to our facility."

Thomas comes to Lake of Isles from Manchester Country Club located in Bedford, N.H. He was the head golf professional for two years at this private, Troon Golf managed facility. Prior to Manchester Country Club, he also held head golf professional positions at The Peninsula Golf and Country Club in Millsboro, Del. and Union Country Club in Dover, Ohio. Thomas earned his Associate of Applied Business degree from The Golf Academy of The Carolinas and is also a certified Titleist and Cobra club-fitter and Body Balance instructor. He has been a Class A member of the PGA since 2007.

As Lake of Isles' head golf professional, Thomas will oversee the day-to-day operations of the North and South courses, manage the golf staff and the award-winning golf shop.

Thomas is a native of College Station, Texas.
