SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Just in time for the holiday season, Troon is pleased to announce a new program to show its appreciation for the service of active duty U.S. military personnel and severely injured U.S. combat veterans by making golf more accessible and affordable. The "Troon's Troops" program is available year-round at more than 50 participating Troon Golf daily-fee and resort facilities.
Troon's Troops offers active duty U.S. military personnel and severely injured U.S. combat veterans preferred Troon Card rates of up to 50 percent off standard golf fees, available two days in advance by calling participating Troon Golf courses directly. Valid military identification must be presented upon check in for active duty U.S. military personnel and severely injured U.S. combat veterans must present valid disability identification or a letter from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs indicating a disability rating of 70% or more.
"On behalf of our active duty U.S. military and severely injured U.S. combat veterans, I want to thank Troon for creating Troon's Troops to ensure we leave no one behind on the field of battle," said Major Ed Pulido, U.S. Army (Ret.), SVP of Public Relations & Military Affairs, Folds of Honor Foundation and Warriors for Freedom. "Working together with Troon facilities, we are providing expanded opportunities for our heroes to enjoy the freedom of playing the game of golf. Thank you and remember that freedom is never free."
Additional benefits for active duty U.S. military personnel and severely injured U.S. combat veterans include premium Callaway rental clubs for 50 percent off the standard price, 10 percent off merchandise at participating golf shops and 10 percent off at participating golf course restaurants.
"Troon's Troops is just one small way we can give back to those brave men and women who sacrifice so much serving their country," stated John Easterbrook, Executive Vice President, Operations, Troon. "This is our way of saying 'thank you' for all that they do."
