Naples, Florida's Talis Park Golf Club announces launch of new golf app

NAPLES, Fla. -- An app a day keeps a scratch golfer at play. Talis Park Golf Club, ranked by Golf Digest as one of Florida's top 20 courses, announced the launch of the course's iPhone and iPad application, which can be downloaded from Apple's App Store.

The app offers everything from hole-by-hole layouts, yardages, and 3-D flyover views for golfers hoping to tee up a better game. Features such as tee times, weather forecasts, a photo gallery, and social media options offer Talis Park Golf Club members and guests the chance to get a leg up on their competition.

By simply tilting the screen at a 90 degree angle, users are guided through an interactive and detailed map of each championship hole. Find out where to hit drives, avoid traps and determine the best angles of approach. From the tee to the greens, the Talis Park Golf Club app enables users to plan a winning hole-by-hole strategy. Talis Park Golf Club is one of very few courses in Southwest Florida that currently offers a mobile device app.

"As mobile technology becomes increasingly engrained in the fabric of sporting enthusiasts' daily lives, we recognized the importance of ensuring that Talis Park Golf Club was an early adopter," said Butch Stewart, Talis Park Golf Club General Manager. "Our goal is to give our valued members and guests a high-touch experience and bird's eye view of the course to help improve and perfect their game."

The Norman & Dye golf course which measures over 7,000 yards in length, meanders along terraced hillsides with watercourses slowly spilling over aging stone walls into narrow finger-lakes and channels, and has been maintained to perfection since its opening in 2005. It is the centerpiece of Talis Park from the championship tees to the Sea Dwarf Paspalum throughout. A picturesque landscape allows for a variety of uphill and downhill holes with the front nine resembling rolling parkland with widely scattered trees. The back nine is distinctively representative of Italy's rural farmland, providing a strong contrast to the earlier park-like holes.

Complementing the stature and beauty of Naples' premier golf and residential community are three new neighborhoods at Talis Park, offering magnificent views and showcasing an inviting network of meandering trails and pathways leading to the future site of the Vyne House, the village center, clubhouse and social heart and soul of the community. Vyne House will encourage residents and guests of Talis Park to enjoy an active, health-oriented lifestyle with a new state-of-the-art fitness center and spa, and a lively interplay of breezy terraces, courtyards and open living areas.

Talis Park, located at 16990 Livingston Road, is poised to become one of Florida's premier luxury golf and residential destinations. To schedule a personal preview with a Luxury Home Specialist or for more information, call (239) 261-6798 or visit www.talispark.com.
