Dan Elliott named general manager for Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Affiniti Golf Partners, the Augusta Golf Association and Forest Hills Golf Committee has tapped industry veteran Dan Elliott as general manager for Forest Hills Golf Club, the vintage Donald Ross design established in 1926.

Elliott comes to Forest Hills from another Affiniti Golf-managed property, the 54-hole Ford's Colony Country Club in Williamsburg, Va., where he served as director of golf for the last two years.

Elliott previously was general manager at Jennings Mill Country Club, a private facility in Bogart, Ga. Prior to that he was head golf professional and human resource administrator at Heritage Shores Club in Bridgeville, De., after seven years as the director of golf at Grand Harbor Golf & Beach Club in his hometown of Vero Beach, Fl.

A management graduate from Gardner-Webb University, where he was a varsity athlete in baseball, Elliott later earned his Class-A membership in the PGA of America. He is very civically active, having coached three high school golf programs in his spare time, and being involved in ministry outreach programs at his local church. Elliott and his wife Sharon will live in Augusta.

Forest Hills Golf Club is owned by Augusta State University and the Georgia Board of Regions, and managed by The Augusta Golf Association and Atlanta-based Affiniti Golf Partners (www.affinitigolf.com), one of the fastest growing golf management companies in North America.

About Forest Hills Golf Club
Established in 1926, Augusta State University's Forest Hills Golf Club is a much-loved staple within the golf community in Augusta, Georgia. This 18 hole golf course holds remarkable history, from Bobby Jones beginning his 1930 Grand Slam of Golf at Forest Hills in the Southeastern Open to college golf events where future greats like Phil Mickelson (1989), Davis Love III, (1981, 1982) and others competed. Forest Hills is home to the Augusta State University Men's and Women's Golf Team, and became a part of golf history when the Men's Team successfully defended their 2010 NCAA Division I National Title and earned their second consecutive national championship.

The 18-hole golf course was originally designed by world-renowned golf course architect Donald Ross and was redesigned by the Arnold Palmer Company in 2004.
