Aldila dominates wood, hybrid shaft manufacturer counts on PGA Tour

POWAY, Calif. -- Aldila left no doubt that it remains the #1 graphite shaft on Tour after winning the wood shaft manufacturer count 38 times and the hybrid shaft manufacturer count 39 times in 47 PGA Tour events in 2012. At the Children's Miracle Network Classic, the Tour's final event of 2012, Aldila had 30 more wood shafts and nearly twice as many hybrid shafts in play than their closest competitor to finish its season-long count domination, according to the Darrell Survey.

"The Hottest Shafts In Golf" is led by RIP, Reverse Interlaminar Technology®, the company's most popular shaft series. The series currently features five different shafts to help meet the needs of a variety of players. RIP Alpha, Beta, Gamma, RIP'd NV and RIP Phenom.

"The top players on Tour continue to rely on Aldila's RIP Technology™ because it provides them with lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control," said Stewart Bahl, Aldila's Marketing Manager. "With the RIP, Aldila engineers employed patent-pending technology and exclusive materials to completely transform shaft design from the inside out providing players with shot control."

The Alpha is a tip-stiff, low-to-mid launch with low spin and is the original shaft with lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness. The Beta version has a slightly softer tip flex for mid launch, the Gamma has the same launch characteristics as the original Alpha with a higher balance point for use with heavier heads to achieve a conventional swing weight.

The RIP'd NV incorporates the best performance attributes from two of Aldila's most innovative shaft designs -- the 'perfect feel' and slim, stable shaft profile of the Aldila NV® and the unprecedented control and accuracy of the Aldila RIP®. The Aldila NV, featuring Micro Laminate technology (MLT®), is the most popular aftermarket shaft in history.

The Phenom incorporates RIP Technology™ with a unique composite construction to create a new and innovative shaft flex profile for maximum distance and control - the Hyperbolic Flex Zone™. RIP Technology repositions the materials and patterns to optimize the performance characteristics of the shaft. The Phenom's Hyperbolic Flex Zone provides a stiff tip section for optimal launch and spin control, with a very firm butt section for an incredibly stable feel. The center section of the shaft is softer to provide outstanding kick through impact to maximize ball speed.

Aldila ( catapults power to an unprecedented level. High performance technology harnessed and perfected from a special blend of materials, design and expertise. They are continually on the leading edge of the golf world through their relentless pursuit of the next best innovation. They do the experimenting so you don't have to. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel. Are you playing Aldila, or just graphite?

Aldila is publicly traded on OTCQX with the symbol ALDA and is the world's premier manufacturer of high performance graphite golf shafts, composite prepreg and carbon fiber arrows. Aldila engineers continually advance and redefine golf shaft technology. Since 1972, Aldila has led the graphite shaft industry with more patented technology, manufacturing and process innovation than any other shaft manufacturer. In 2011, Aldila was the #1 graphite shaft on Tour with more wood and hybrid shafts in play than the next leading competitor, according to the Darrell Survey. For the fourth consecutive year, Aldila was the #1 graphite shaft in play during the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
