STX Golf announces top-10 finish at Tour Championship

BALTIMORE -- STX Golf, world-renowned as an industry pioneer in putter innovation with its patented Soft Face Insert Technology, announced that its award winning Xform 2 Putter was used at the Tour Championship to secure a sixth place finish.

The top sixty on the Tour money list played the last tournament of the 2012 season at TPC Craig Ranch. Those professionals who finished in the Top-25 would earn their 2012 PGA Tour card. According to STX Director of Golf Steve Henneman, "STX is honored that this talented Tour professional played our Xform 2 Putter during the championship. There was a lot at stake for him and he relied on our putter."

During some rough and windy conditions this STX Golf supporter shared the first round lead with a six-under 65. His putting was notable as he was ranked third in "Putts per Round" and ninth in "Putts per Green." He came very close to acquiring his 2013 PGA card. "This professional has what it takes to move up to the PGA Tour. I'm confident that this will happen and soon. We congratulate him on a successful season and thank him for trusting in our Xform 2 Putter."

All Xform Putters are 100% machine milled from extremely soft 304 Stainless Steel. The Xform 2 Putter is a contemporary blade which features a tour inspired top line and sweeping profile. The half offset, flared neck positions the golfer's hands slightly ahead at address. The Xform 2 Putter features our innovative Deep Diamond milling pattern which softens the feel of the face further and provides the response desired by the best players in the world. The professional played the Xform 2 during the championship as he appreciates the attractiveness of the shape and the amazing feel off the face.

The Xform 2 Putter was honored with a 2012 Players Award for "Best Impact Feel" and "Best Overall Performance." The 2012 Players Award is an annual equipment review that is conducted and directed by the Golfing Magazine's editorial staff but all the testing is done by the magazine's readers.
