PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- Tickets for the 2012 PGA Grand Slam of Golf are now available for purchase at www.pga.com/grandslam, and PGA of America announced a two-for-one kickoff promotion, whereby golf fans visiting the Island of Bermuda to enjoy the event will receive two tickets for every one ticket purchased.
The 30th PGA Grand Slam of Golf, the PGA of America's year-end showcase event that boasts the most difficult qualification - a major championship - will take place October 22-24, 2012, at Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda. The event features 2012 Major Champions Bubba Watson (Masters), Webb Simpson (U.S. Open) and Ernie Els (Open Championship) as well as 2011 Grand Slam defending champion Keegan Bradley.
Tickets for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are $20 for each day, while a weeklong pass for all three days is $50. A purchase of any day's ticket will result in a second ticket for that same day at no additional cost. Weeklong passes are also offered on the two-for-one promotion.
The buy one, get one free promotion is available only for tickets purchased in advance online at www.pga.com/grandslam. This special promotion will not be available for tickets bought after October 21, 2012.
Port Royal Golf Course is a 6,842-yard, par-71 public course that opened for play in 1970.
The PGA Grand Slam of Golf features a $1.35 million purse, with the winner receiving $600,000, second place $300,000, third place $250,000 and fourth place $200,000.
The PGA Grand Slam of Golf will be televised by TNT to a worldwide audience of 88.9 million U.S. homes and international viewers in more than 100 countries.
The PGA Grand Slam of Golf is hosted by the Bermuda Department of Tourism, Port Royal Golf Course, and the Fairmont Southampton Hotel.
