The Jewel in Lake City Golf Course under new ownership

LAKE CITY, Minn. -- The new owners of the Jewel in Lake City Golf Course held a press conference after the closing of the golf course had taken place.

At the press conference, attendees found out quite a bit of information
concerning the course.

The new golf course owners are a group of investors from the Twin Cities
area, now called The Jewel LLC. The investors include: Mr. Glenn Hasse, Mr.
Tim Hasse and Mr. John Friedges.

The golf course is remaining open this season as long as the weather
allows. The dining room ("The Sapphire Bar & Grill") will remain open right
through the winter season, with Sunday brunches and special dinners every
Friday and Saturday evening. The new investors plan to expand the dining
room to allow seats for 100 people and also will be encouraging companies in
the area to hold Christmas parties at the clubhouse or even business
meetings.

"We are just really excited to be the new owners here at the Jewel," said
Glenn Hasse. "We are looking forward to taking the course to the next step
and are looking to increase our business in the new year."

Plans are already in place to keep the previous management team on board,
so it is business as usual for the Jewel.

The course was purchased at an unreserved Ritchie Bros. auction on
September 23rd for $2.5 million. Besides the Hale Irwin-designed Jewel Golf
Course and facilities, the $10 million+ unreserved auction also included more
than 100 home sites, more than 200 acres of undeveloped land, single family
homes, condominiums and a 2003 Chrysler E825 4-passenger GEM car. Close
to 700 people registered to bid on the auction from as far away as Italy,
Finland, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, the
Cayman Islands, Canada and from 39 U.S. states.

About The Jewel in Lake City
As one of the largest Planned United Developments (PUD) in the history of
the state of Minnesota, the Jewel auction attracted hundreds of interested
bidders from both inside and outside the state of Minnesota. The Jewel's
centerpiece, a Hale Irwin Signature 18-hole golf course, officially opened for
public play on July 2, 2005 and was named one of the top 10 new golf
courses out of more than 90 new public golf courses opened across the
country in 2005 (Golf Magazine).
