United States Golf Teachers Cup to be held in Boulder City, Nev.

The United States Golf Teachers Federation, the nation’s largest organization of golf teaching professionals is pleased to announce the 11th annual United States Golf Teachers Cup to be hosted at Boulder City Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada, November 2nd & 3rd.

A full field of 140 golf teaching professionals will be competing in this 36 hole stroke play event. The event features a women’s division as well as a super senior, senior and open division. A total purse of $25,000.00 will be the largest in USGTF history.

According to Jennifer Conrad, director of USGTF Membership Services, “The event has become so popular that this year we were booked two months in advance.” “Furthermore, Las Vegas has always been a great draw simply because there is so much to do after competition each day.”

Competition is expected to be fierce at this year’s event. Mark Harman, from Guyton, Georgia will be defending the title. Mark has captured the United States Golf Teachers Cup a record five times. Last year he defeated Thomas Wartelle of Washington, Louisiana is a three-hole playoff.

The top four low scores of American participants will have the opportunity to represent Team USA at next year’s World Golf Teachers Cup. This is a biennial event that takes place in a different host nation every two years. United States will play host in 2007 at Primm Valley Resort, again in the city of Las Vegas.
