- Four rounds of live tournament coverage – Golf Channel will air live tournament coverage during all four rounds of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. Thursday and Friday, Golf Channel will air four hours of live action, followed by 90 minutes of weekend lead-in coverage Saturday and Sunday.
- Aimpoint presented by Fidelity Featured – Aimpoint presented by Fidelity, Golf Channel’s Emmy-award winning graphics technology that predicts the line of a putt and where players must aim to hole out, will be featured on holes 6 and 15 at Firestone Country Club.

- Modified Stableford Format – The Reno-Tahoe Open has changed its format from stroke play to Modified Stableford, a format not utilized on the PGA TOUR since The INTERNATIONAL in 2006. The Modified Stableford scoring system allocates points based on the number of strokes taken at each hole, with the goal of achieving the highest overall score.
- Notable Groupings – Notable groupings for Thursday’s opening round of coverage include Stewart Cink, Brian Gay and Padraig Harrington (12:33 p.m. PT), and J.B. Holmes, John Daly and Craig Barlow (1:55 p.m. PT).

- Players Mic’d Up Live Thursday and Friday – Golf Channel will fit select players and their caddies with microphones for the first two rounds. Josh Broadway and his caddie will be mic’d up Thursday, and Jim Renner and Hudson Swafford and their caddies on Friday. Viewers will be able to eavesdrop on conversations between the players and their caddies throughout their rounds of play. Golf Channel will broadcast “live” audio from players and their caddies during their rounds.
- On Course with Kay: Paul Haley II and Nate Smith – Golf Channel on-course reporter Kay Cockerill will conduct interviews “walk-and-talk” style with Paul Haley II and Nate Smith that will air during tournament coverage.
- Instant Instruction with Mark Lye – Golf Channel analyst Mark Lye will give viewers instruction tips from the driving range immediately following key shots from players during tournament coverage.
- Key Holes at Crunchtime – Mark Lye will scout the key holes at Champions Run during tournament coverage.

- Lanny Wadkins Lead Analyst – Lanny Wadkins returns to the broadcast booth this week as lead analyst alongside play-by-play host Mike Crispino during all three rounds of coverage.
- The Greats of Golf Challenge Featured Saturday and Sunday – The Greats of Golf Challenge, a two-man, 36-hole, better ball exhibition will take place on Saturday and Sunday during the 3M Championship. Players invited to compete include World Golf Hall of Fame members Arnold Palmer, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Hubert Green, Gene Littler, Lee Trevino and Billy Casper, as well as 1971 Masters champion Charles Coody, 1970 and 1976 PGA Championship winner Dave Stockton, 1966 PGA Championship winner Al Geiberger, two-time major winner David Graham and 1981 Open Champion Bill Rogers. In addition, Champions Tour major winners Miller Barber, Don January and Jim Colbert are scheduled to participate.
