Luxurious new homes up for sale on Hawaii's Gold Coast

KOHALA COAST, Hawaii – Nov. 16, 2004 – Home sales of the newest resort residential community along the Kohala Gold Coast of Hawaii's Big Island began with construction officially underway at the sun-splashed project.

"Wai'ula'ula at Mauna Kea Resort" will offer 102 luxurious fee-simple condominium residences in an attractive mix of detached single-family estates and attached single-level homes (see below) spread across more than 47 acres. The full build-out is estimated to take 36 months.

Surrounded by the Arnold Palmer-designed Hapuna Golf Course, the gated, master-planned community will feature a project layout emphasizing lush, environmentally sensitive tropical landscaping, low-density buildings, and open sightlines to enjoy the expansive ocean and golf course views.

"Wai'ula'ula has it all and this spectacular setting is one of the last truly great home-buying opportunities along the Kohala Coast to enjoy a front-row seat to sweeping ocean views, deep blue skies, and star-filled nights," said Mark Richards, president of Maryl Group, Inc., the project developer.

"We're outfitting the homes interiors with an island-influenced sense of luxury, using first-rate building materials, appliances and trims to create a lifestyle of easy comfort and lasting value," Richards added.

Wai'ula'ula's residents will also have the opportunity to enjoy all the qualities and value that make Mauna Kea Resort such a world-renowned destination, including easy access to the beautiful white sand beaches, award-winning golf courses, tennis and fitness centers, spas, restaurants, hotel facilities, and "concierge" residential services.

An added bonus will be the private Hale 'Ikena amenity center located on-site that will be ideal for keeping fit, hosting functions, and entertaining guests.

James R. Dollens is a 15-year Mauna Kea Resort resident who was the first to identify the project's potential and initiate the development. "I've lived all over the world and found there is no better place to enjoy life than at Mauna Kea," Dollens said. "I always feel this is the place where dreams go to come true."
