Players, including former European Tour Pros, and officials have praised Burhill Golf Club as it fast becomes one of the 888poker.com PGA Europro Tour's top events.
For the fourth successive year Burhill - part of BGL Golf, the UK's leading golf course owner and operator - staged the Kerry London PGA Europro Tour event, which saw 164 professionals battle it out in high winds over the demanding New Course.
Players were united in their compliments of the parkland course, echoing the sentiments of last year's competitors in their praise of the greens in particular.
Many took to the social network site Twitter to pay tribute to the challenging and scenic 6,940-yard, par-72 course.
Andy Shakespear said: "Another good week @PGAEuroProTour. Great event at Burhill. Won't putt on better greens!"
While Dale Whitnell added: "Great condition golf course! Well done to the @PGAEuroProTour team and Burhill."
The field included a former European Tour winner in Anton Haig - who claimed the Johnnie Walker Classic in 2007 - and Tour stars Zane Scotland and Elliot Saltman, but it was Billy Fowles who proved victorious with a score of seven-under-par total for the three rounds, winning by two shots.
Billy said: "It was tricky in the bad weather. The main problem was the wind, but if you could get through the holes that were going into the wind it wasn't too bad as once you got it behind you the holes were playing a lot shorter and you could get some good scores on the longer holes."
Danny Nickless, Golf Operations Manager of the PGA Europro Tour, was also full of praise for Burhill's continued success in staging these events.
He said: "Burhill Golf Club has become a regular event on the 888poker.com PGA EuroPro Tour calendar and we were delighted to be able to return there.
"Our players always look forward to playing at Burhill and commented on the quality of the course, and in particular the greens, once again following the event.
"The team at Burhill always run an excellent event and on behalf of the Tour I would like to extend our thanks to everybody involved in hosting us again this year."
David Cook, Burhill Golf Club General Manager, added: "It is a great testament to the staff here at Burhill to have these professional players heap praise on the condition of the course and the clubhouse when they visit us.
"Everyone from greenkeepers to waiting staff work extremely hard at all times so to hear these players, some of whom have competed across the globe, describe our course in the way they do is a tremendous feeling for everyone involved in staging these kind of events."
