VIENNA, Va. -- NJVC, one of the largest information technology solutions providers supporting the U.S. Department of Defense -- raised $26,300 in support of the USO Metropolitan Washington and USO of Missouri, Inc., at the 10th Annual NJVC Golf Tournament, held May 7, at Belmont Country Club in Ashburn, Va.

"This is the first year that the two NJVC golf tournaments -- one held in the Washington metro area and another to be held in the St. Louis metro area in the fall -- will benefit the company's new philanthropic partner, the USO," said Jody Tedesco, NJVC president. "NJVC is most proud of its new relationship with the USO: an organization that possesses such a great and vibrant history supporting the nation's troops and their families around the world."

More than 140 NJVC employees, partners, service men and women (invited by the USO Metropolitan Washington) participated in this year's tournament. All the proceeds of the tournament (sponsorships and raffle sales) in addition to a $5,000 donation from NJVC -- went to the two USO chapters.

"It's only with the help of local community partners that USO-Metro is able to support our troops and their families," said Elaine Rogers, USO of Metropolitan Washington president. "We're thrilled to be partnering with NJVC, and we're looking forward to a long-lasting relationship."
