FAIRHAVEN, Mass. -- Davis Love III made his 19th career PGA
Tour victory extra special, capturing the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro in
the state where he was raised and where he starred as a collegian at the
University of North Carolina. The win was the second for Love at the
event, winning by six strokes in 1992. In addition, Love redesigned the
Forest Oaks Country Club course just three years ago. The local favorite
responded with a world class performance, closing with a 6-under 66 to edge
fellow Titleist ambassador Jason Bohn by two shots. In fact, Love topped a
leaderboard that featured each of the top 11 finishers relying upon a Pro
V1 golf ball, including seven players who also trusted full bags of
Titleist equipment for their tee-to-green success.

In fact, 17 of the top 18 finishers relied upon Titleist golf balls for
their success. Love's win was the PGA Tour-leading 21st by a Titleist golf
ball player this year.

Greensboro with 99 players (75%), nine times the nearest competitor with

PGA EUROPEAN TOUR: Pro V1x players swept the top five positions at the
Dunhill Links Championship as Padraig Harrington shot a final round 4-under
68 to win the title for the second time in his career. Harrington, who
also won the title in 2002, finished the week with a 16-under 271 total,
five clear of Bradley Dredge, Anthony Wall and Edward Loar who tied for
second at 11-under. Titleist ambassador Ernie Els finished solo fifth at
10-under.
Harrington won for the 10th time on the PGA European Tour and moved into
second place on this year's Order of Merit. Overall, Titleist was the most
played golf ball at the Dunhill Links Championship with 132 (79%) players,
more than seven times the nearest competitor with 18. The win was the 27th
for Titleist golf ball players on this year's PGA European Tour, nearly
four times more than the nearest competitor with seven.
CHAMPIONS TOUR: It was an all-Pro V1 top five at the rain-shortened SAS
Championship as Tom Jenkins (Pro V1) was declared the winner after wet
conditions forced the cancellation of the final round. Jenkins finished
the tournament at 10-under 134 for a one-shot victory over Champions Tour
money leader Loren Roberts (Pro V1) and Chip Beck (Pro V1), who now has
three top-5 finishes in his first three events on the Champions Tour. The
win was Jenkins' seventh of his Champions Tour career and his first this
season. Mitch Adcock (Pro V1), playing on a sponsor's exemption, earned
his highest finish on the Champions Tour in fourth position at 8-under, one
shot ahead of Titleist ambassador Jay Haas in fifth.
Titleist was the most played golf ball at the SAS Championship with 56
players (72%), more than five times the nearest competitor with 11. The win
was the 21st for Titleist golf ball players this year on the Champions
Tour, compared to 3 for the nearest competitor.
NATIONWIDE TOUR: Kevin Na (Pro V1x) used his home course to his advantage
this week, winning the Mark Christopher Charity Classic in wire-to-wire
fashion. It marked Na's first career Nationwide Tour title in just his
second start. Playing at the par-71 Empire Lakes Golf Course -- his home
course for the past five years -- Na carded a final round 2-under 69 to
conclude the tournament at 16-under 268, three strokes ahead of Pro V1x
loyalists Chris Tidland and Jeff Quinney. Na fired a course record-tying
9-under 62 in round one and moved to a Tour record-tying six-shot lead at
the halfway point.
Overall, Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Mark Christopher
Charity Championship with 103 players (72%), nearly seven times the nearest
competitor with 15. Titleist was also the choice of more players than any
other brand in the iron (41/29%), wedge (129/41%) and putter (64/44%)
categories. The win is the 22nd by a Titleist golf ball player on the
2006 Nationwide Tour, 20 more than the nearest competitor with 2.
ASIAN: Lin Wen-Tang captured the Taiwan Open for his maiden victory on the
Asian Tour. Lin led by two shots entering the final round, and finished
the tournament with a three-stroke margin over fellow Pro V1x player Simon
Yates. Lin closed with a 3-under par 69 for a four-day total of 13-under
par 275. Ten of the 12 players who finished among the top 10 and ties
relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.
Titleist golf ball players accounted for more than 83 percent of the field
at the Taiwan Open with 118, more than 13 times the nearest competitor with
9.
WORLDWIDE WINS: With five more wins this week, the Titleist golf ball
victory count across the worldwide professional tours increased to 137,
over a hundred more wins than the nearest competitor with 25.
