North East Junior Golf Tour announces 2012 tournament schedule

BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- Membership and tournament registration is now open for the NEJGT. The 10-tournament summer schedule is up and the tournament committee is putting the finishing touches on a three tournament fall finish. All tournaments are open to boys and girls aged 12-19 looking to compete in 36-hole events for national recognition.

"This is an exciting time for junior golfers in the northeast, parents and juniors are always looking for golf tournaments to compete in and we are offering them a first-rate tournament experience similar to that of a major tour or a national event" said Robert Fraioli, the NEJGT's tournament director. He also added …"the NEJGT will give juniors the ability to showcase their games in a 36-hole format and this is exactly what college coaches look for when recruiting juniors. We are very fortunate to be able to partner with some of the best golf courses in NY, CT, RI and MA".

The North East Junior Golf Tour is a regional junior golf tour playing nationally ranked 36-hole golf tournaments from NY to MA. NEJGT junior golfers compete in four divisions (two boys and two girls). Juniors compete for both "Player of the Year" points and national ranking points through the Junior Golf Scoreboard and other ranking associations.
