Duke University had been selected as the host site for the 2012 Callaway Junior World Championship Qualifying Tournament by the NC Junior Golf Foundation. The Duke University golf course has hosted prestigious events such as the NCAA Division I Men's National Championships, The Rod Meyer Intercollegiate, USGA, CGA and NCJGF events. The North Carolina Junior Golf Foundation is serving as the host organization for the qualifying tournament. Entries are now open at http://ncjuniorgolflorg. Entry is open to any junior golfer with age based playing divisions.
The Junior World Championships started in 1968 and have grown into one of the World's largest junior events.This international event attracts players from over 50 countries and from across the United States. Players that qualify are eligible to compete July 10-13 in San Diego, CA. Past participants include many PGA Tour and LPGA Tour players such as Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and Lorena Ochoa.
Entries for the NC Junior Golf Foundation hosted qualifying event are open until March 17, 2012 or until the field is full. Entry is on a first come basis and is limited to the first 72 players.
