Blogger Leaderboard: Europe's Ryder Cup victory has golf bloggers teaming up against U.S. team

Golf bloggers had plenty of opinions on Europe's dominant victory in the 2006 Ryder Cup.

The Grouchy Golfer is lamenting the lack of young U.S. talent after the European team shellacked them in Ireland.

"Sure, there's Tiger, Phil and Furyk. But after that, the talent drops off a cliff," writes the Grouchster.

The Armchair Golfer wonders if Americans are sore losers, but says we better get used to it, writing: " Winning is no longer an American birthright -- at least not in golf."

Mike at the Perform Better Golf Blog could see the writing on the wall and seems fairly disgusted by the U.S. team's inability to perform better golf, especially Phil Mickelson.

"What the heck happened to Phil Mickelson? He was 0-4-1, and has only won just one match in the last two years," writes Mike.

Finally, Miranda at Even Par Round took a more philosophical look at things: " As long as the American team members look at the Ryder Cup as something to win, and not something to love, like the Europeans, they will always lose," she wrote.
