Daly-Donofrio wears ECCO Golf Shoes to victory

LONDONDERRY, New Hampshire. – Nov. 16, 2004 – Building on ECCO's momentum as the hottest golf shoe in the market, Heather Daly-Donofrio wore the comfort-laden and ultra-stylish footwear en route to victory at the LPGA's Mitchell Company Tournament of Champions last week in Mobile, Alabama.

Daly-Donofrio comfortably walked roughly 16 miles during four rounds of 19-under-par golf, including a third-round 64, to win by a wide four-stroke margin for her second career LPGA Tour victory and her first since switching to ECCO golf shoes.

"They're so comfortable that I actually wear them shopping after I play," says Daly-Donofrio about ECCO golf shoes. In addition to Daly-Donofrio, dozens of LPGA Tour players have embraced ECCO golf shoes, including Rosie Jones and Hall of Famer Juli Inkster. Endorsers of ECCO's men's golf shoes include fashionable young PGA Tour star Aaron Baddeley and internationally renowned players Thomas Bjorn and Thongchai Jaidee.

"We're thrilled for Heather," says Per Aagren, General Manager of ECCO's sport division. "The fact that she wore ECCO golf shoes to victory is a bonus."

Praised by Tour and everyday golfers for their innovative styling and unprecedented attention to detail and comfort, ECCO's women's collection - including three fully waterproof GoreTex models - feature several hot colors like purple glow, light rose, blue shadow, emerald and cotton-candy pink.

ECCO, the Danish footwear giant, boasts eight models of women's golf shoes in 29 color combinations in its Spring/Summer 2005 collection. Its men's golf line features 10 models in 27 color combinations. Highlights include three completely new styles for both women (Sport Dynasty, Sport Supreme and Classic E GTX) and men (Casual Sneaker GTX, Sport Accelerator, Classic City).

As one of the seven largest shoe manufacturers in the world, ECCO's trend-setting sense of fashion, technological breakthroughs and high quality of leather have distinguished the company for more than 40 years. All golf-shoe models feature ultra-soft, high-grade leather and extra cushion provided by PU-injected midsoles for superior shock absorption, a process unique to ECCO in the golf industry.

ECCO is rallying off the success of its women's Spikeless E series golf shoes, introduced early this year. Featuring sporty sole construction with multiple pre-molded traction bars, this model provides optimum grip, durability and enhanced comfort. Additionally, fine leather uppers and groundbreaking color combinations ensure dynamic and outgoing women experience the utmost in on-course performance and style.

"Acceptance of and demand for ECCO golf shoes were tremendous in 2004," says
Aagren. "The Spring/Summer 2005 collection represents the further evolution
of ECCO in golf. Our goal is to provide the most comfortable and technologically-advanced shoes while still maintaining the fashion-consciousness that helps set ECCO apart."
