MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- CHAMP Spikes will have a large presence at Europe’s biggest golf show ever as Golf Europe 2006 kicks-off on September 29th. After equipping 20 Ryder Cup golfers with CHAMP Spikes in Ireland, CHAMP treks over to Munich, Germany for this world class golf expo which runs until October 1st. The most popular European PGA event of the year attracts golf retailers, professionals, and suppliers gathering for the introduction of 2007 products.
CHAMP will unveil several new products including ergonomic spike wrenches-the Pro Plus™ and the Max Pro Wrench™ that will make changing spikes easier and quicker. The Pro Plus wrench is an upgrade from the CHAMP Pro Wrench™ with its soft touch handle which gives the user extra force to remove difficult spikes. The Pro Wrench also features a hardened steel shaft and the standard two pin head that fits any spike.
The Max Pro Wrench™ is the deluxe model spike wrench with its ergonomic handle, a three position ratchet that’s adjusts with the flick of a switch, and two additional pin heads to help remove plastic spikes. The Max Pro comes with the standard two pin head in addition to the 6 and 8 wing.
CHAMP will also introduce the latest in divot repair technology and golf club brushes. The Filp Fix™ divot repair instrument is made with lightweight aluminum alloy and durable plastic that comes in four colors-black, green, blue, and pink. The Flip Fix weighs a mere 8.81 ounces nearly half as much as a golf ball.
CHAMP put their patented Q-LOK® technology to work in a fantastic new club brush, the Tri Pro Club Brush. This innovative brush was designed with the golfer’s comfort in mind with its ergonomic handle, a soft-non slip rubber grip, three interchangeable heads, and convenient carabiner and retractable zip line that attaches to any golf bag.
Lastly, CHAMP will also be unveiling several new point-of-purchase displays that will interest retailers and better sell CHAMP Spikes family of products. A new countertop display and a new floor display will be launched to help retailers display their full line of CHAMP products for their own and their customers’ convenience.
As always, CHAMP will be exhibiting their full line-up of golf spikes. Highlights from the 75th anniversary line including the lone hybrid on the market, the Pro Stinger™, the traditional Cermec® metal, or the CHAMP Scorpion Stinger™, made with the patented “C” wear indicator that shows the golfer well in advance when it’s time to change spikes.
CHAMP Spikes had a successful year as the winners of 23 of 35 PGA TOUR Titles and 13 of 21 on the European Tour, including all four of the PGA “Grand Slam” events.
