MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- As the Ryder Cup is set to kick off in Ireland, CHAMP Spikes, the number one brand on Tour, will be the spike of choice on the feet of the majority of the representative golfers. Twenty of the two teams 28 golfers will count on CHAMP Spikes as the Emerald Isle hosts its biggest sporting event ever from September 22nd to September 24th and the K Club.

Most of the top players are already CHAMP faithful as CHAMP comes off a terrific season, winners of 23 of 35 PGA TOUR Titles and 13 of 21 on the European Tour, including all PGA majors, sweeping the “Grand Slam” events. At the Ryder Cup, 10 of the top 15 US golfers will count on CHAMP as will 10 of Europe’s 13 participants.

After the Ryder Cup in Ireland, CHAMP will head to Munich, Germany for Golf Europe 2006, from September 29th to October 1st. CHAMP will introduce several new ergonomic spike wrenches that will make changing spikes easier and quicker for the golfer. In addition to wrenches, CHAMP will introduce the latest in divot repair technology. The Filp Fix™ divot repair instrument is made with lightweight aluminum alloy and durable plastic that comes in four hot colors.
CHAMP will also be unveiling several new point-of-purchase displays that will interest retailers and better sell CHAMP Spikes family of products. A new countertop display and a new floor display will be launched to help retailers display their full line of CHAMP products for their own and their customers’ convenience.
