Chefs are being offered the chance to win a trip to a beautiful Italian golf resort on the Adriatic coast to celebrate the launch of a new range of Panna Cotta desserts being produced in Scotland.
Golf Club Grado and Tenuta Primero Resort is teaming up with premium Scottish food ingredients manufacturer Macphie of Glenbervie to offer a fantastic one week holiday to one chef and a friend to mark the new product launch. The decadent, ready-to-use Panna Cottas help chefs to prepare classic Italian desserts in flavours such as original, white chocolate, Irish Cream liqueur and mocha.
The winners will enjoy seven nights' accommodation, including breakfast, in a Marina Suite overlooking Grado´s private yacht harbour. The prize also includes two return flights from London, full use of the Tenuta Primero´s facilities including swimming pools, sports pitches, private beach and unlimited golf at Grado's championship golf course. The details of the competition and full terms and conditions can be found at www.macphie.com/italy.
Ivan Marzola, the Owner of Golf Club Grado and Tenuta Primero Resort, said: "We are delighted to support Macphie with their Panna Cotta product launch. We have been working hard this year to promote the resort and its unique charm and beauty in Scotland and the rest of the UK. Working with Macphie will enable us to raise our profile still further and to offer a lucky chef the chance to experience a wonderful Italian holiday.
"Our gourmet restaurant Al Casone at the resort offers authentic Italian cuisine and a fine dining experience which is one of the most highly regarded in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. I am sure our chef Luigi Zago will be happy to meet the winning chef and perhaps share some of his secrets," he added.
Gillian Rattray, Macphie´s Marketing Manager, said: "The British love affair with Italian cuisine continues to go from strength to strength, so what better way to celebrate this than by offering chef's the chance to win a taste of the real Italy? The new Panna Cotta range offers delicious traditional Italian flavours in a convenient and easy to produce form. We think this will be popular among chefs throughout the UK and beyond."
The Golf Club Grado championship course meanders between the Laguna di Grado and the Adriatic Sea and, with its stunning island hole, has been dubbed by the media as the European Sawgrass. The Tenuta Primero resort boasts a private marina which can accommodate yachts of up to 25m in length, a private beach and facilities such as a heated swimming pool, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts and a selection of restaurants and bars. The resort is within two hours' drive of the romantic city of Venice.
