VISTA, CA. -Nov 11, 2004 – La Jolla Club Golf Company has announced that it has added a new 12-degree 450cc Titanium Driver to its premium line of Titanium Drivers. The new driver is available immediately.

“Our drivers are the best kept secret in golf,” said Paul Herber, President, La Jolla Club Golf Company. “They have been tested and ruled the hottest conforming driver in golf, which means they are as close to the .830 COR level as possible, yet still conform to USGA rules.”

La Jolla Club’s Titanium Drivers consist of a two-piece construction where the entire titanium head is cast and only the SP700J face is plasma welded to the head. This two-piece process creates a more consistent performance. The face material is made of SP700J forged titanium, which is a reason for the driver’s incredible distance. This forging can be manufactured time after time right to the level of .830 COR without exceeding USGA levels of COR conformity. Each head goes through 85 quality control checks including COR testing, face angle, wall thickness and lie angle.

In addition to the incredibly consistent forged titanium, the drivers feature internal draw bias tungsten weighting for optimum performance. These drivers have also been tested to have “perfect equilibrium”. This means that the center of the golf club is the absolute middle balance point of the head from heel to toe and sole to crown. The balance point of most drivers is toward the heel. This perfect equilibrium makes La Jolla Club drivers extremely forgiving on off-center hits.

La Jolla Club Drivers are available in 400cc (9 º & 10 º) and 450cc (10 º, 12 º and High Launch 14 º). Fujikura has designed a shaft specifically for the La Jolla Club driver in L, A, R and S flexes. The 450cc (10 º and 12 º) are available in left-handed models. Ask about our Master Builder program and unique customizing options. The standard Titanium Drivers feature a proprietary Fujikura shaft and have an MSRP of $299. Custom shafts are also available. The MSRP ranges from $299 to $599 for custom shafts.
