Summer holiday golfing fun at Abbey Hill Golf Centre

It may be the school summer holidays but many of Milton Keynes's children are still keen to learn as they take part in coaching camps at Abbey Hill Golf Centre.

The four-day camps - run by the public pay-and-play facility's Head Teaching Professional David Armor - give the children a firm understanding of the game of golf from the fundamentals through to bunker shots, driving and putting.

In addition they are also taught about honesty, integrity and sportsmanship - key skills for both the golf course and life in general.

Utilising the extensive practice facilities at Abbey Hill Golf Centre - part of Burhill Golf & Leisure, the UK's leading golf course owner and operator - including the 21-bay covered and floodlit driving range, putting green and Short Par-3 Course, the youngsters will hope to one day follow in the footsteps of the world's leading golfers such as Luke Donald and Rory McIlroy.

Gordon Forster, Abbey Hill Golf Centre General Manager, said: "It has been a joy to see so many youngsters picking up the golf bug and getting into the game. David has worked exceptionally hard to make our coaching courses fun and informative to ensure the children continue to enjoy the sport and the health benefits it brings."

Abbey Hill Golf Centre runs a number of coaching courses for junior golfers throughout the summer holidays.
