NORTHBROOK, Ill. -- KemperSports named Aaron Williams General Manager of The Golf Club at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor, Mich, an18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.
Williams has nearly 20 years of experience in both the golf course management and hotel industries. He joined KemperSports in 2010 as General Manager at Tapatio Springs Golf Resort in San Antonio, Texas and most recently served as the transition manager at Stonebridge Golf Club in New Orleans, La.
"Aaron is going to be a great asset to Harbor Shores, especially as we open the new clubhouse and food and beverage operation next year," said Steve Skinner, CEO of KemperSports. "His experience in the hospitality and golf industries will allow him to make an immediate impact and prepare the staff for the 2012 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid."
Williams will partner with Ross Smith, who is Director of Golf at Harbor Shores. Smith will focus full-time on golf operations and help prepare the course in advance of hosting the 2012 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid.

Williams began his career in the hotel industry with Hyatt Hotels after graduating from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics. He went on to become the food and beverage director at El Conquistador Resort in Puerto Rico and then began his career in golf course management as the General Manager of Shipyard Golf Club in Hilton Head, S.C.
