Nov. 11, 2004: When it comes to eating out, Myrtle Beach offers options that will satisfy even the pickiest of appetites. Diners have a variety of choices available: steak, seafood, Chinese, Thai, Greek and even Indian cuisine just to name a few. It is definitely a buyer’s market where no one has to go hungry.
Until recently, the options to have your favorite meals delivered to your home have been severely limited. No problem if you are hungry for pizza or subs or the like. What happens if you have your heart set on a nice juicy T-bone, soft-shelled crab or even Wiener Schnitzel? Could a hot, delicious, nutritious meal be delivered complete with beverages and desserts?
Thanks to a new company called Menu’s the answer to that question is a resounding “YES”! Now in Myrtle Beach, foods from many of your favorite local restaurants can be delivered directly to your doorstep, your workplace or just about anywhere those cravings for something like Thai Pineapple Chicken find you!
Todd King and his wife Jerri, long time residents of Myrtle Beach, run Menu’s delivery service. “I have a family that is constantly on the go,” King says, “and we get tired of our only choices being pizza and subs.” Thus, the idea for Menu’s was born. Wouldn’t you enjoy something from Atlantic Grille, Bei Jing China, Café Brazil, Café Old Vienna, E. Noodles & Co., Grecian Delight, Hawaiian Bar-B-Q, India Palace, Liberty Steakhouse, Loyal Thai, Martin’s, UNO Chicago Grill, or Villa Katrina’s (to name a few)? Menu’s will deliver for all of these restaurants. And it’s so easy!!
Here is how it works: the customer can either call in the order or place the order online to Menu’s. The order is processed and sent to the restaurant of choice. The food usually reaches the customer still hot within 45 minutes to an hour of the order being placed with Menu’s.
A minimum $20.00 food order and a $5.00 base delivery fee is required for each restaurant. Currently Menu’s delivers in the Myrtle Beach area from Lake Arrowhead Road down to Springmaid pier at the end of Ocean Boulevard and from the ocean to the waterway. In the future, Menu’s plans to expand the delivery area to include Surfside Beach down to Murrell’s Inlet, then the Carolina Forest and Hwy 544 areas, eventually going to North Myrtle Beach.
King says that Menu’s is convenient for everyone. “Whether you are a parent who had a long day at work and just don’t feel like cooking for yourself and the family, you work in an office and need to put together a good eat-in meal for a client or employees, or a group of golfers who love to try out different delicacies, then this is the place for you.”
