Ritchie Bros. opens auction info center at Jewel course in Minn.

LAKE CITY, Minn. -- Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, the world's largest industrial auctioneer, held its Grand Opening of its Auction Information Center at the Hale Irwin-designed Jewel Golf Course in Lake City August 5 and 6. Hundreds of golfers came to the course, many
playing the award-winning course for the first time. The Auction Information Center at the Jewel Golf Club will now be open daily, 8am to 5pm, right through to the unreserved real estate auction day on September 23, to help interested bidders tour the golf course and community, find out more about the unreserved real estate auction and how to bid, as well as register for
bidding closer to auction day.

Paul Krause NFL Hall of Fame Golf Classic Tournament at the Jewel

Next weekend, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers and the Jewel Golf Club look forward
to an inaugural NFL celebrity golf tournament. The Paul Krause NFL Hall of
Fame Golf Classic Tournament, sponsored jointly by the Ritchie Bros.
September 23 unreserved real estate auction and the Jewel, involves 18 Hall
of Fame players playing golf with 72 members of the public. All fees from
player ticket sales will benefit the Mississippi River Trail (MRT), a world-class
bicycling route that travels from the headwaters of the Mississippi River at
Lake Itasca, Minnesota to the Delta at the Gulf of Mexico in Louisiana.
Another charity to benefit from the event will be the Minnesota Brain Injury
Foundation.

Although there are just a few player spots left for members of the public,
there are $5 gallery tickets that will be sold to members of the public
interested in watching the tournament at the golf course on August 14 (to

SUNDAY, AUGUST 13th Paul Krause event:
On August 13, NFL Hall of Fame member Paul Krause will ride through Lake
City on his one-of-a-kind, custom built chopper. The bike has been
customized with 92 original NFL Hall of Fame signatures, which Krause says
are the most signatures to ever be displayed in one place, at one time.
Krause will also set up the bike in front of the Jewel clubhouse, where the
public can come and view it and purchase signed photographs of the bike 
with all proceeds going to charity. For more information about the bike, go to

About the Sept. 23 unreserved real estate auction
Ritchie Bros. will be holding a large, unreserved real estate auction on behalf
of The Jewel in Lake City  a local, master-planned golf community  on
September 23, 2006. The current unsold home sites and undeveloped land at
the Jewel will be sold in the unreserved auction, as well as the Hale Irwin-
designed golf course and facilities, some homes and condos.
