Jennifer Mario: It's an upsided-down leaderboard at the Weetabix Women's British Open

Are we sure the Weetabix Women's British Open isn't being played Down Under? Because one look at the leaderboard and you'll wonder if it accidentally got turned upside-down.

The names we might expect to see near the top—Karrie Webb, for one, defending champion Jeong Jang for another—are going to miss the cut.

Se Ri Pak, who won the LPGA Championship earlier this year, withdrew after a first-round 78, citing a neck injury.

Silvia Cavalleri, Candie Kung, Karen Stupples, and Lindsey Wright, on the other hand--not exactly the LPGA's headliners--are filling the second and third spots.

Veteran Juli Inkster showed her stuff yesterday, firing a six-under 66, but followed it up today with ho-hum even par. She's still sitting pretty at number one, however.

Michelle Wie has struggled a bit but is hanging in there. She’s in no danger of missing the cut, but isn’t exactly in contention at the moment either, with two rounds of 74.

And Morgan Pressel will likely shed a tear after today’s round—her five birdies tied her at sixth place along with Annika and Paula Creamer, right up until the 17th hole, where she gave it all back and then some, with a devastating quadruple-bogey, triple-bogey finish. Yikes--that'll leave a mark.
