Montreal-based designer and manufacturer of crossover performance fashions Firethorn announced that PGA Tour player John Rollins captured the 2006 BC Open title, bringing him one step closer to a spot on the US Ryder Cup team. At one point in the final round, Rollins and six other players were tied at 14 under. It was a rolling five- foot clutch putt that brought Rollins his win – something he had strived to repeat since he took the Canadian Open Title in 2002. “Everybody can hit it, and hit it on the greens,” Rollins said in an AP interview. “It’s just a matter of who sinks the shots around the greens and who makes the putts when they count. This week, I did that.”
