Hilton Garden Inn launches largest summer golf promotion of its kind

Guests Receive Complimentary Greens Fees for Two At More Than 250 Participating Golf Courses

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – From intense competitors to weekend leisure players, Hilton Garden Inn invites golfers of all levels to tee off this summer with Golf Amenity #18 at more than 250 golf courses throughout the United States and Canada -- considered the largest golf promotion of its kind.

Through Oct. 22, 2006, Hilton Garden Inn is offering guests whose stay includes a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday night, a complimentary round of golf for two, valid at participating golf courses throughout the United States and Canada. As part of the promotion, Hilton Garden Inn guests also will receive a complimentary golfing handbook upon check-in. Written by top golf professional instructors, the handbook includes tips from adjusting a golfer’s swing stance and posture to hitting over the water. The mini-booklet also offers a trial subscription to Golf Digest magazine.

“Because of the increasing popularity of golf and the overwhelming response we received last year from our guests, we are bringing back Golf Amenity #18 and making it even bigger. Now our guests have access to more than 250 golf courses to polish up their game,” said Mark Nogal, vice president – marketing and sales for Hilton Garden Inn. “Our summer golf promotion is designed to help guests escape their hectic schedules by allowing them to spend a few hours practicing their golf game and enjoying some rest and relaxation while taking in the beauty and serenity of the outdoors.”

Golf continues to be one of the most popular recreational sports in the country. In fact, last year nearly 13,000 golfers took advantage of the brand’s summer golf promotion and redeemed golf vouchers at courses throughout the country. Business travelers, in particular, are continually looking for ways to spend more time on the golf course. According to the United States Golf Association, the number of business executives who golf while on the road has “swelled” in recent years with more business travelers carving time out of their business trips to hit the links.

Golf Amenity #18 is available to guests who stay at Hilton Garden Inn at least one weekend night (Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday). In order to take advantage of Golf Amenity #18, guests must book their stay online at www.StayHGI.com. Upon check in, guests will receive a complimentary greens fees voucher valid for a complimentary round of golf for two at any of the 250 participating golf courses throughout the United States and Canada. Guests can choose to use their voucher during their stay at a nearby participating course, or at a later date and location during the promotion period. Vouchers are valid through Oct. 30, 2006.

“No other hotel in the world has a golf promotion as large as our ‘Golf Amenity #18’ and we are thrilled to be able to provide our guests with this extensive of a program,” said Nogal. “Our golf offering is just one of many amenities that allows our guests to blend their business and personal travels needs.”
