Presales underway at Escena Palm Springs residential enclaves

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. -- It’s hip. It’s happening. It’s time to be a part of it. Presales are now underway at Escena Palm Springs, designed for those discriminating homeshoppers who want to embrace an urban – and urbane – new lifestyle in the heart of the city that elevated desert living to an art form.

As the first new gated, golf-oriented residential retreat to hit Palm Springs in 20 years, Escena Palm Springs is quickly becoming the go-to destination for people who think that life in the suburbs is just fine…for everybody else!

“This is the perfect time to discover your personal style in one of Escena Palm Springs’ first five residential enclaves,” said Holly McKie, director of marketing for Lennar Communities, which is developing Escena Palm Springs in partnership with The Empire Companies. “We invite prospective homebuyers to visit www.EscenaPalmSprings.com, check out all the floorplans and neighborhood possibilities, then sign up on the interest list to let us know which of the enclaves catches their attention or stop by the Lennar Preview Center, now open daily adjacent to the Escena golf club off Vista Chino, east of Gene Autry.

Positioned on the forefront of Palm Springs’ residential revival, Escena Palm Springs marks a return to the glory days of the city’s architectural roots with two distinctive residential series. The Spanish Series, inspired by the Spanish Revival Movement first seen in Palm Springs in the 1920s and 1930s, will include homes in Spanish Colonial, Spanish Monterey and Spanish Hacienda styles. Contrasting yet complementary, the community’s Modern Series will bring back the Mid-Century Contemporary, Modernistic and International styles that were popular in Palm Springs between the 1940s and 1960s.

According to McKie; “This is the exclusive enclave community for people who like their architecture a little out there and edgy, and who don’t want to see the same-old, same-old when they come home every night. It’s no wonder that Escena Palm Springs has generated so much advance interest.”

Lennar is building the first four Modern Series enclaves at Escena Palm Springs, each offering a selection of boldly designed detached residences that capture the very essence of desert style, as follows:

§ Circa. This enclave’s one- and two-story Mid-Century Modern homes benefit from fairway views and private outdoor spaces such as large porches, decks, entry courtyards, and expansive patios. Sized from approximately 1,961 to 2,803 square feet, these gracefully flowing homes offer two to three bedrooms and two and one-half baths. One plan features a huge loft. Pricing from the $600,000s.

§ Motif. Each instilled with remarkable character, these one- and two-story homes capture the spirit of the desert in casual elegant interiors sized from approximately 2,213 to 3,004 square feet. Two to three bedrooms and two and one-half to three and one-half baths are featured per plan, and each home enjoys the outdoor living space of a large courtyard. Treat your guests to a private casita, or treat yourself to a versatile loft. Pricing from the low $600,000s.

§ Avant. Sweeping views of Escena’s Nicklaus Design golf course, guest casitas (per plan), and some of the only three-bay garages available in the first five enclaves highlight this eclectic mix of one- and two-story homes spanning approximately 2,244 to 2,981 square feet of living space. Two to four bedrooms and two and one-half to three and one-half baths are featured, plus a versatile office and/or loft in select plans. Pricing from the low $600,000s.

§ Skylar. Ample living spaces wrap expansive courtyards in these one- and two-story homes designed to blend sophisticated architecture with individual style. Interiors sized from approximately 2,369 to 3,463 square feet offer two to three bedrooms and two and one-half baths, plus a den in one plan. While one of Skylar’s single-level plans has the luxury of dual master suites, the two-story home offers the ultimate guest privacy of a detached casita. Pricing from the upper $600,000s.

Standard Pacific Homes is building the final enclave in Escena Palm Springs’ initial sales offering, a Spanish Series collection of detached residences that interweave indoor and outdoor living spaces in truly artistic fashion, as follows:

§ Alcala. This distinctive edition of golf course-view homes offers a selection of grandly proportioned two-story floorplans spanning approximately 3,578 to 3,824 square feet. The various plans are available with two to four bedrooms and two and one-half to five baths. Two- or three-car garages, golf cart storage, spacious courtyards, loggias, decks, or patios are included per plan. Among the design highlights in the various plans are first-floor master suites, dual master suites, offices, lofts, and games rooms. Anticipated pricing from the $800,000s.

Already open for play and fast becoming the preferred golf setting for Coachella Valley residents, the Escena Golf Club will be the recreational centerpiece of the Escena Palm Springs lifestyle. The Club’s championship 18-hole course by Nicklaus Design offers a classic golf experience in a dramatic 7,173-yard layout with multiple lakes and streams, as well as clusters of towering Mexican fan palms, pepper trees and small native trees lining the fairways. Troon Golf the leader in golf course management operates Escena Golf Club.

Now under construction and planned for completion early next year, the Golf Club’s Mid-Century Modern-style clubhouse will include a fully stocked pro shop, a large open-all-day restaurant and a terrace lounge for year-round outdoor dining. Escena Palm Springs also will feature a special place for man’s best friend, the Escena Bark Park. This doggie play zone and several other sites around the community will be enhanced by outdoor sculptures commissioned from some of the nation’s most celebrated artists.

Set against the majestic backdrop of the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto mountains, Escena Palm Springs occupies a prime location adjacent to Gene Autry Trail, north of Ramon Road and south of Vista Chino.
