ORLANDO, Fla. -- Big Break Sandals Resorts' contestant Ryann O'Toole recorded her second win as a professional on Sunday at the Falls Auto Group Classic in London, Ky. O'Toole, 23, of San Clemente, Calif., defeated Angela Buzminski with a birdie on the second playoff hole after both players turned in seven-under-par 65 to claim share of the lead at the end of regulation.
The victory was O'Toole's second on the Duramed FUTURES Tour in 2010, both coming after filming of the Golf Channel series in February. In May, she won the rain-shortened Mercedes-Benz of Kansas City Championship.
O'Toole is one of nine contestants remaining on Big Break Sandals Resorts, airing Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Golf Channel. Tonight's new episode will feature a special guest appearance by Sandals Emerald Reef Golf Club course designer and former World No. 1, Greg Norman. One contestant is eliminated each week in the 10-week series, with the last player standing earning her "Big Break" - tournament sponsor exemptions to the 2010 Lorena Ochoa Invitational presented by Banamex and Corona Light on the LPGA Tour and the 2010 Omega Dubai Ladies Masters on the Ladies European Tour.
Past Big Break champions have won tournament exemptions to compete on some of the world's top professional circuits, such as the PGA TOUR, Champions Tour, European Tour, LPGA Tour, Nationwide Tour and Canadian Tour. Several previous female contestants have gone on to compete on the LPGA Tour, including Kristy McPherson, who also was a member of the 2009 U.S. Solheim Cup Team.
Big Break Sandals Resorts unfolds on one of the most picturesque golf courses in the world, Sandals Emerald Reef Golf Club at Sandals Emerald Bay. A Greg Norman design, the 7,200-yard, par-72 oceanside golf course is highlighted by six signature holes hugging the perimeter of Emerald Bay's scenic peninsula overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
