NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The Brunswick Isles Golf Trail, which stretches out along the coast of southern North Carolina and northern South Carolina, now offers 477 memorable holes of championship golf with the addition of Carolina National Golf Club located between Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Wilmington, N.C.
Carolina National is located along the pristine Lockwood Folly River in North Carolina. The 27-hole Fred Couples signature golf facility includes a 14,000 square foot putting/chipping green and a 320-yard driving range. Twenty-seven holes provide golfers with the opportunity to have a variety of playing experiences by combining different 9's for each 18 hole round.
Golf Digest recognized Carolina National as one of the finest clubs on the eastern seaboard. It's an Audubon-Certified Sanctuary and upholds principles of environmental stewardship. It is responsible for maintaining a refuge for wildlife along with a healthy environment.
"We're thrilled to have Carolina National join the great golf courses of Brunswick Isles Golf Trail," said Jack Himmelsbach of The Glens Golf Group which manages Trail courses Heather Glen and Glen Dornoch, as well as accommodations partner Village at the Glens. "This course is truly unique in design because it can accommodate all skill levels, yet challenge the most accomplished golfer."
Stretching nearly 80 miles from Leland, N.C. to North Myrtle Beach, S.C., the Trail winds through unspoiled coastal area known as Brunswick Islands and offers some of the best courses in the Carolinas.
