Gulf Coast tourism bureaus and U.S. Travel president to host press briefing on oil spill

Representatives of SouthCoast USA, a multi-state consortium of destinations along Interstate 10 and the Gulf of Mexico organized to promote tourism to the region, will hold a press briefing on the impact of tourism as a results of the BP oil spill with U.S. Travel Association President and CEO Roger Dow today, June 18 at 3 p.m. at the Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front Hotel.

SouthCoast destination partners include Lake Charles, Lafayette, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Houma, and North Shore, Louisiana; Mississippi's West Coast; Mobile and Gulf Shores-Orange Beach, Alabama; and Pensacola, Florida.
