Rickie Fowler captures sole possession of Kodak Challenge lead

The mid-season point of the 2010 Kodak Challenge competition, the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial offered Kodak Challenge fans plenty to cheer about. Rickie Fowler, a Kodak Challenge front-runner for much of the current season, grabbed sole possession of first place on the Kodak Challenge leaderboard with a third round birdie on Kodak Challenge hole #13 at Colonial Country Club.

Fowler's move to the top of the leaderboard was hardly the only news on the par 3 171-yard Kodak Challenge hole last week. Paul Goydos and Ben Crane each carded a hole-in-one on the Kodak Challenge hole this past weekend at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, TX. Matt Kuchar kept within striking distance of Fowler with a final round birdie to reach 8-under-par, just one stroke off the lead pace. The Kodak Challenge Moment of the final day at Colonial Country Club belonged to eventual Crowne Plaza champion, Zach Johnson, who drained a 22-foot birdie putt on the Kodak Challenge hole en route to his tournament victory.

Kodak Challenge Visits Hole #14 at The Memorial presented by Morgan Stanley

The next Kodak Challenge hole is the par-4 #14 at Muirfield Village GC at the Memorial Tournament presented by Morgan Stanley on June 3 - 6. 11 of the top 15 Kodak contenders are in the field this week at the Memorial Tournament, including Rickie Fowler and Jimmy Walker. Fowler holds sole possession of the 2010 Kodak Challenge lead at 9-under par, while Walker remains one shot off the lead.

About Hole #14 at Muirfield Village GC
Kodak Challenge hole #14 is a tricky par-4. The picturesque hole presents pros with a downhill tee shot into a wide, tree-lined valley. About 245 yards from the championship tee, a creek emerges from the left woods to border the fairway. This carries on for some 40 yards before angling across it and then on down to flank the right side of the green. The green is long and narrow and heavily guarded left by several bunkers.
