The sixth annual 2010 Heartland Regional Golf Tournament is scheduled for September 17th & 18th at the Overland Park Golf Club in Overland Park, Kansas. The two day event will benefit Buddie's Buddies Adaptive Golf and Buddie's Veterans Adaptive Golf.
In 2004, founder Buddie Butterfield became interested in adaptive golf after befriending an amputee golfer. Soon afterwards the 501 C-3 non-profit charitable organization Buddie's Buddies was formed. BB's offers adaptive golf clinics to physically and mentally challenged persons, ages 6-86 and are FREE to all who attend. In 2007 a Veterans adaptive golf clinic was developed with the Kansas City VA Hospital. The clinics run during the Summer months at the Overland Park Golf Club in Overland Park, Kansas.
Both golf clinics serve participants on both sides of the state line, including the seven county metropolitan area that surrounds Kansas City. For more information on the clinics and the amputee golf tournament, please visit us at; http://www.buddiesbuddies.org
