BRAMPTON, Ontario, Canada -- For Sligo staff player Justin Hicks, winning never looked so good. Beginning the final round tied for fourth and three strokes back, Hicks, sporting new looks from Sligo's 2010 spring collection, fired his fourth consecutive round in the 60's en route to posting a two-stroke victory at the BMW Charity Pro-Am for his second career Nationwide title.
Hicks posted rounds of 66-65-69-66 (266) to stave off the field and earn his first win since the 2008 Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic.
Hicks "boring" fairway-to-green play was counteracted by the daily fashion statements he made with his Sligo Wear golf apparel. On Sunday, Hicks hoisted the championship trophy wearing the Mentor McKenna polo and the company's Medium Grey Pants topped off with Sligo's signature white Icon belt.
"Seeing Justin wearing our gear in the winner's circle on Sunday is extremely exciting," said Shawn Aucoin, Sligo Wear Director of Sales. "Our team has worked hard to deliver what we believe is the most advanced look in the golf industry and Justin's win represents another big milestone for the Sligo brand."
The company's spring 2010 collection features technical polyester polos with four-way mechanical stretch along with polyester and rayon lycra trousers to provide ultimate comfort during the golf swing.
