LPGA rookie Mallory Blackwelder signs deal with PAR management

Paskievitch Athlete Representation ("PAR") announced that LPGA rookie Mallory Blackwelder has signed a multi-year management and marketing agreement with the company.

Blackwelder, 22, is a 2009 graduate of the University of Kentucky and a Versailles, KY native. In the fall of 2009 she earned conditional LPGA status and full status on the Ladies European ("LET") and Duramed Futures Tours for 2010.

Mallory comes from a golfing family. Her mother, Myra, played on the LPGA for many years and was the 1980 LPGA Rookie of the Year. Mallory and Myra are the first mother-daughter LPGA members in the history of the tour. Her father, Worth, has been a professional caddie for over 20 years and has caddied for numerous LPGA stars, including Juli Inkster, Natalie Gulbis, Cristie Kerr and Dottie Pepper. Worth will be caddying for Mallory in 2010.

While at the University of Kentucky, Blackwelder was named the 2009 SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She also served as co-captain of the golf team her last two seasons and was the individual medalist at the UTC Lady Mocs Tournament. Blackwelder won the prestigious 2007 Women's Western Golf Association National Amateur Championship and made the cut in the 2008 Kraft Nabisco Championship, an LPGA major tournament.

In making the announcement, Paskievitch said, "Mallory is fantastic. Her golf game is very solid and will only get better with experience. Mallory is also one of the nicest people I have ever met. I am privileged to be working with her."

Blackwelder added, "I am really excited to be working with Brad and am confident he will be able to help me greatly. He is a very hard worker and I am happy for him to be working on my behalf."
