The Tarheel Golf Foundation has released the field of committed players for the 2010 Rex Hospital Open Junior Invitational. Players included most of North Carolina's top ranked players, many who are headed to play NCAA Division I golf next year. The tournament is played over two outstanding golf courses. Day one is played at Lonnie Poole Golf Course at North Carolina State University and day two is played at TPC Wakefield Plantation. Both courses are in Raleigh, NC. The Rex Hospital Open is played at TPC Wakefield Plantation on May 20-23.

The event is one of the few that offers junior golfers the opportunity to earn the chance to play in a major professional tour event.

The Tarheel Golf Foundation is based in Raleigh, NC and exists to provide nationally ranked golf tournaments for junior golfers. With over 1,000 members the organization is one of the largest junior tournament providers in the Southeast.
