SAINT HELENA ISLAND, S.C. -- Dataw Island Club has announced a pair of promotions among their golf course superintendent staff. Dustin Nemenz has been promoted to the position of superintendent of the Tom Fazio designed Cotton Dike golf course after serving in the same role at the Morgan River course. Nemenz first arrived at Dataw Island as an intern in 2005, but was later promoted to assistant superintendent. He attended turf school at Sandhills College in Pinehurst, N.C.
Anthony Robertson has been promoted to superintendent of the Arthur Hills-designed Morgan River golf course after serving six months as the assistant superintendent of the Cotton Dike course. Robertson attended turf school at Walters State Community College in Morristown, Tenn., and arrived at Dataw Island six months ago. He previously worked at River Islands Club in Knoxville, Tenn.
"We are very fortunate to have very experienced, ambitious and talented superintendents taking care of our Cotton Dike and Morgan River golf courses," said Brian Hollingsworth, head superintendent of the Dataw Island Club.
