International Clubmakers Guild elects directors and officers for 2010 term

ILION, N.Y. -- The International Clubmakers Guild (ICG), an alliance of nearly 300 professional golf clubmakers, club fitters, swing coaches, golf equipment designers and engineers is pleased to announce that Ken Collins of Manchester, NH; Jim McCleery of Waverly, OH; and George Sigeti of Marietta, GA have been elected to serve as Directors of the organization along with Charlie Blume, president and CEO of SK Fiber Golf Shafts in Madison, AL, who was re-elected to serve a second term. The announcement was made by Steve Newton, ICG Secretary. Mr. Newton is a charter member and one of the original founders of the new organization.

"The mission of the ICG is to enhance the skills of membership regarding all aspects of clubmaking, fitting, and repair, and to offer educational and certification opportunities in the use of the most advanced industry procedures and design enhancements available today," said Newton. The ICG currently lists 279 members in its international ranks.

Additional Directors of the ICG for 2009 include: Rick Canter from Stoughton, MA; Bob Dodds of Louisville, KY; Ken Alterwitz of Loomis, CA; and Frank Viola from Saugus, MA.

At the first meeting of the new Board on April 21st, Bob Dodds was elected as ICG President, with Charlie Blume and Steve Newton re-elected as ICG Treasurer and Secretary respectively.
